Imprinting Gratitude

Imprinting is something I don’t practice with my foals, but with given situations sometimes handling a foal is necessary for proper horsemanship and care.

I spend only what’s necessary with the foal, focusing my attention on my mares and operating with her, off of a feel. Once a relationship is established this feel can be developed into an established part of the herd hierarchy.

But this feel is worthless to me, if I’m not a centered matriarch in my own interactions and connections with community.

Over the course of the last six years, I have made connections and relationships that have helped me flourish not only as a horseman, but as a human.

As my horsemanship blossoms and grows in this period of rapid expansion, all I can find peace in is gratitude.

Grateful for all the people who have mentored me along the way, and for the people who have believed in me and my aspirations and goals.

Gratitude for the horses who’ve come into my life and the horses who’ve found me now.

Gratitude for my amazing husband who has always believed in me, and always invested into building an unbreakable foundation of integrity and creativity. Through his support I’ve been able to evolve not only as a wife and mother, but as a horseman and artist.

My highest hope in life is that I do imprint on my children a mindset of gratitude and patience as we grow and build our legacy.
