Community & Connection

Looking back at my childhood, I have many memories of adults and community members coming together for evening rides, jackpots and clinics.

We had a competitive open show circuit encouraged and organized by a small handful of individuals who planted seeds of horsemanship and equitation in many youth from eastern Montana.

We were just kids, we didn’t truly appreciate the gift this was to our futures with the horse industry. But now as an adult, I do have to say I hold those individuals with a reverence.

It has inspired me to become more active in my community, to host horsemanship clinics, to join the board of the MonDak Quarter Horse Association, and help the local legends who have been doing the work for decades feel seen, assisted and supported in this community.

Western North Dakota and eastern Montana are filled with great horsemen, and because of their community involvement I am here today.

Let my observation inspire you to step into a community role that inspires you and helps support sport, culture, youth events and anything in between.

Our nation needs a revival, and it starts somewhere.
